OmniTrader 2006 - Simply the BEST!
OmniTrader 2006 is not just better than any previous version of OmniTrader it´s better than any other technical and fundamental analysis program available. Our number one goal in creating OmniTrader 2006 was to improve profitability. We have achieved that goal through the four key innovations that are described below.
* To qualify for the upgrade, you must currently be a registered OmniTrader owner.
FOUR INCREDIBLE new features have been added to OmniTrader that dramatically improve profitability.
You can scan the entire market for virtually any fundamental or technical condition, generating fresh, pre-qualified lists each day. Our scanner is faster and easier to use than any competitive program, and it´s integrated right into OmniTrader. Now you can automatically get the best lists and then let OmniTrader generate the best Signals on them.

Better Signals with OmniFILTERS
The new Filter block allows us to use very robust trading conditions to filter Signals generated by our Strategies. Using the new Filter block, we were able to improve several of the Strategies in OmniTrader. In Breakout, for example, our researchers were able to boost performance by over 40%!

Better Charts with ColorCHARTS
Now you can visualize any condition in the chart using color. Using any technical condition, you can color the price bars, indicator plots, or background to easily tell whether a chart is bullish or bearish.

The above MACD Histogram is a powerful Indicator that shows direction of trend when it is above/below zero. This ColorChart is set to color the background "medium blue" when the Indicator is above zero and "light blue" when it is below. With the ColorChart displayed, we can quickly see whether any given Signal is confirmed or not. We only trade Buy Signals in the medium blue zone and Sell Signals in the light blue zones. It´s that easy.
TradePlans are a brand new concept, enabling us to define precisely how a trade is to be managed once we pull the trigger, leading to better exits and bigger profits. We completely rewrote the old Portfolio and Positions Window, making it easier than ever before to track your trades. Seven pre-defined TradePlans are included in OmniTrader 2006 to help you increase your profits and reduce risk. TradePlans are a revolutionary way to manage trades.

The Art of Technical Analysis encourages innovation. We have found that many of our customers come up with great ideas that improve their Signals. So we decided it was time to add a "scripting" language to OmniTrader, so folks could easily test their ideas. After some research into the resources available, we unanimously decided to harness the power of Visual Basic (or, "VB".) Visual Basic is the easiest language ever invented (yes, even easier than those so-called "easy" languages.) We tailored Visual Basic to work seamlessly inside OmniTrader, and called it OmniScript.
Here's the really cool part. I can use my formula as a Filter, or I can use it in OmniScan. I can even use it for visual confirmation
as a ColorChart.
Being able to use the same formula in OmniScan, Filters, and ColorCharts is enormously powerful. We can find out how well a condition works on historical data (using a Filter) and then apply it in OmniScan to pare down the market to only those symbols that have the given condition today. This saves an enormous amount of processing, since we only generate Signals on those symbols that have the basic condition(s) we are looking for. Then, we can visualize the condition using a ColorChart. OmniScript has enabled us to increase the profitability of many OmniTrader Strategies. But the best news is, you can too! If you get an idea for improving a Strategy, you can - with OmniScript!

Formula Builder and Formula Library
The Formula Library includes "canned" formulas like "Volume Increasing." But for those who want to experiment, the new Formula Builder makes it easy! A robust set of over 100 indicators are available in the list on the right. Simply press Insert and the indicator is added into the formula with the default values already filled in. Add comparison operators (such as ">" for "greater than") to test for values. The formula can be saved in the Formula Library and used in Scans, Filters, and ColorCharts.

This formula looks for "bullish" indicator conditions.
