Currently the Stop Parameters window in Trade Plans allows the user to see only 3 stop parameters at a time. When dealing with a stop that has more than 3 stop parameters, it is very difficult to take a snapshot for documentation of the stop parameter settings without having to scroll down the window. During testing of a stop, this inability to see all stop parameter settings at a glance gets very tedious. Please make the Stop Parameters window expandable or have a right click option that when selected, OT checks how many parameters the stop has, and shows them all in a window that pops up. Keep in mind that with OL, a user configured stop could have lots of parameter settings, so the popup window would be the best solution, as it would ensure that ALL the paremter settings have been exposed in one popup window. Thanks for the consideration Curtis

Barry, Can you move this thread to Feature Requests. Sorry about putting it into the wrong Bin. Curtis [Edited by Curtis on 7/3/2010 11:08 AM]

The current version of the TP only exposes 2 rows of a stop's parameters. This is getting impossible to work with, where your stop has many paramater settings. Please address this matter soon. Thanks for your help. Curtis [Edited by Curtis on 7/31/2010 10:38 AM]

So an option within the trade plan editor form that you click to display all the parameters in full view in a new popup form? This would be a separate form from the trade plan editor.

That is exactly what I am thinking Barry. It would be editable in the expanded form. It hopefully looks at the stop and sizes itself based upon the number of parameters in the stop, if that is too fancy, at least blow up into a really nice big sizeable popup window. Thanks Barry. Curtis

If it was done another way, how many parameters would you need to display at once?

Up to 45 to 50 if possible or as close to that as can be done. 50 would be a nice round number, that should cover most stops, regardless of how sophisticated. I personally need 45 to see all parameters. Curtis [Edited by Curtis on 8/6/2010 2:34 PM]

Barry, if I just TOLD you, you would not believe me. So, here is a parameter list from a "SuperStop" that was created with and for Curtis and Buffalo - possibly to be canned for broader distribution, later. The code for this stop has 3400 lines in it. It works really really well ... my kudo's to OT and the Parser! It is *incredibly* versatile ... uncounted variations of its configuration. So ... here is the parameter list ... copied from the code ... I'll let you count them for yourself (45 in all :~). And you'll understand why the need is for "as many as you can give us" ... preferably a POPUP window that can be resized. I expected that :~) The question is ... do you think you will be able to somehow accomodate the need? I would say that if you provided for TWENTY, and easy scrolling using not only the scroll bar but also Tabbing down through the rows, that would provide at least 80% of the benefit. I'm not speaking for Curtis and Buffalo, however.

Another thing ... I'm doing a lot of training ... including training people how to program with OLang ... and with special emphasis on the importance of Robust stops. Although it's HIGHLY unlikely most people would write (and successfully debug ;~) a 3400-line program with 45 param's, PLEASE ANTICIPATE that the relatively "simplistic" stops which have been used in the past are going to begin getting replaced with much more powerful versions ... which will have more parameters. By more than just one or two people.

A popup resizable window would be most likely where you could make edits & it'd make the changes in the TP editor. The TP editor form would remain unchanged with the exception of a button to expand or open that parameter form.
