Does the version of Win 10 make any difference for OT performance?

I don’t know if any reason why it should.

Thanks, Jim. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing so I thought I'd ask <:)

I run OT on both Home and Pro and haven't seen any observable difference.

I think there are differences in the features of the OS that you may want that differ between the Home and Pro version if you do more with your computer than run OT (such as developing software or run a virtual machine farm). But other than that, either works for OT.

Thanks. I see I can add a wrapper to run RDP on Home so I may do that. Once I am happy with my ATM profile I plan to Autotrade it on Amazon. (All I have is a satellite internet where I live and all it take is one little storm cell in my line and I am dark until it passes.)
I try to keep a laptop up to date with my main OT computer and Goodsync seems to work well using windows network shares SMB protocol.
If anything here sounds goofy please comment - I'm on thin ice here.

Yes, true - you didn’t ask about that but afaik you must have Pro to run VM’s (multiple OT instances) - and if you want to use RDP for the computer, I *think* Pro is needed for that. Most other Pro features are probably not relevant - but I could be missing something.

Oops - later revision - didn’t know an RDP wrapper was available. I wonder if it’s as secure (re hacking) as the native Pro RDP?

Btw - I can recommend a simpler and significantly less expensive platform than Amazon. Contact Matt at PD9soft.com, and request a setup similar to what KenW is using for OmniTrader. And take the option to pay up front for the Win10 license rather than monthly. PD9soft is a small company that’s been around a long time - they created the MDDBS software that Nirvana (and TradeTight) have used for our forums.

A reason to use PRO. Windows 10 Home does not provide a way to prevent restart for updating. You can only give it times. Pro allows you to pause any update restarting for up to 35 days.
Went to Pro after Home did a restart last night while running OT tests.
