This error freezes OT and requires task manager to close.

I added some links to the research tab which worked well for a couple of weeks but I am now suspicious if this may be the cause with this from the log:

"8/23/2018 8:17:22 AM Error 3126: Invalid bracketing of name '[Stocks.Pos]'.
Occurred in routine 484 - frmFocusList.frm .AddSymbols"

I also get this error when i try to add a symbol:



I have removed all of the custom links and done the usual cleanup and restart but the profile is still frozen. Is there another thing I can do before I have to discard this profile? (I have a lot of work in it ): )

Suggest you create an entirely new profile. Then try to import the symbols and settings from the offending profile. Worth a try.....

Thanks for that but I was trying to find a way to use what I have in my profile - several tabs with lots of charts and templates.

Nothing worked so I have done a new profile but I still don't know what caused the problem and hope I don't do it again.

OT is like an Italian sports car I once owned. Unbeatable when it was running but every once in awhile when it decided to not to it was hard to figure out <:).

You can get that error if you attempt to add symbols to a profile while an OmniScan list or any non-My Symbols list is the active list. It's a known bug.

Hmmm. My active symbol list was My Symbols.
