I try MarketScan RT. The following scan works fine with daiy timeframe but in 30 Minutes timeframe it does not work

ADX(14)[2] < DI_MINUS(14)[2] AND ADX(14)[1] > DI_MINUS(14)[1] AND ADX(14)[2] <20

What could be the reason?

Syntax is correct. What do you mean “it does not work”? Does it find symbols that don’t fit the criteria? Does it NOT find symbols that do fit?

Please note that if you plot ADX and DI separately on the same graph, the scales are not identical. You need to plot them both from an OmniLanguage routine at the same time, to see a common y axis.

Yes it finds symbols that don't fit the criteria. In OT I use the ADX-B system to see the DI with ADX.

The snapshots appear to show valid hits.

yes, but Marketscan does not find them in the 30 min timeframe. it finds them only in the daily timeframe. OT does it correctly in the 30 min timeframe but I can not
scan it in intraday.

Acctually I run a scan in TD Ameritrade. I copy the symbols into Excel. Then I import it from Excel to OT RT.
So I would prefer to run a scan in Market Scan

I don’t understand. 30 min bars are diff than daily so of course the same Sym won’t show hits in both.

Are you saying that there are *30min charts* that show what *should be* hits, but aren’t found by MScan? If so could you post an example or two?

Jim, this is what I was asking you on 6/20/21 when I was talking about the +D1 turning lower on this current bar while the -D1 was turning up on the same bar. I see someone else is also trying to come up with what I was talking about I first posted this question in the forum back on 6/1/21. This action seems to work pretty well when this two move in different directions. Just my 2 cents. Will be checking out what comes of this project in the next few days, it would serve others well in their trading.

Gerry
