When I go under "Chart Options", Systems, there is a system listed called "RisingPeriodSystem(3)". I can't find any documentation on what it actually does. Does anyone know?

Hi Norman & all,
The rising period system is a clever little tool, I do believe it to be one of the very first systems created inside omni language way back!
Its where the concept is that you must have 3 (Default Value) continuous up or down bars in the same direction for it to fire a signal.
As it says by the name of the system pointless setting the value to 1 say but 2,3,4,5??
W D Gann used a similar concept once a turning point has been made then enter on the count of 3 in said direction.

Hi Norman & all,
I don't play golf & its a beautiful Saturday morning over here in the UK!
I've got some time on my hands and thought I know what lets see if we can see if the rising period system can be made into a profitable strategy!!
My symbol vehicle is the AUDUSD, back test of 4 years.
Time frame is Daily (which I never trade)
I started 35 minutes ago and attached is the performance report for 2 strategies using the rising period system that I created.
So the Answer is yes you can trade the Rising period system mechanically and profitable.
