I hereby present to everyone - the All Systems System! Seriously, one day I decided to create a strategy by clicking ALL the systems in OT2006 to see what kind of signals are generated. Well, it turns out that the signals are astonishingly accurate! Refer to the screenshot named All Systems System Block. Almost all the systems are Forced, Enabled, & Optimized (with the exception of a few Candle systems - I don't know why I didn't click them), & every system below TLN-BS is clicked. The next screenshot is how I have my Performance block tweaked. Next one is the Vote block. Nothing in the Confirm or Filter blocks. On the Orders block, for Entries I have Market On Close (Current Bar) clicked. For Exits, refer to the Exits screenshot (Eights, Fixed Profit, & Reversing Signals all clicked with their default values). Make sure you enable Weekly as well as Daily, great signals there as well. That's it! What do I need anything else for? Check out the chart for DRYS - lotsa profits there! A word about stops: if you just use Reversing signals, it looks OK. Anything else produces garbage signals. Tweak it if you want to, but I've already spent half the night tweaking it. Check out the Profit screenshot. Check out the trade from August to October '07 - 95% profit! And that's the last screenshot, named Profit. All trades combined (including the profit for the most recent signal) equal over 250%! I have included the All Systems.ots file for those of you who want to try it. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Back Test Hit Combined Rate for both was about 67%. Although this was good, too many trades are made using the system. It apprears that the Eight's Stop in conjunction with the Profit Stop create too many stops and restarts the next day. The time it took to go through 2000 stocks was about 2 - 3 hours on a moderately fast notebook. My suggestions for improvement would be to use a confirmation such as a Stochastic or MACD crossover and using a Trailing Stop instead of a Profit Stop. Also, the Trade Entry at Close of the Current Day is possibly unrealistic for mst traders deferring to Open of the next day, which could allow one to add a filter not to trade on open the next day if the open doesn't meet certain requirements.

Just save the strategy in the C:\Program Files\Nirvana\OT2011\Strategies folder while OT is closed. Then when you open OT2011 it should upgrade that strategy to work in OT2011 & be selectable in your strategy list.. |
