I have done a lot of day trading in the past but would like to do longer term trading now. I have been using folio now about two months with mixed results. Has anyone come up with a good strategy to use with folio using the two trading windows? I have had good gains on several stocks but let the gains wither away before selling.

It's just been a tough market the last couple of months. What are you benchmarking your portfolio performance against?

I use the S&P 500. I have been having some success the last two weeks by using a stock screener in schwab trader ct pro, which I use to day trade. I screen for stocks between $10 & $75 and pick the top 25 or 30. I place them in a focus list and then pick ones which are trending up and look good to me. I put 10% of my folio account in each stock. At 9:00am & 12:00pm I update the focus list and decide if I want to make any changes. I do not keep 100% invested but watch the S&P 500 as a guide as to how much to invest % wise. I have been investing many years but now only trade. Last year I did real good but this year is tuff and I am down so far this year. But I keep trying. I would rather lose my own money then have it stolen by a mutual fund manager. Cliff

Isn't Omnitrader telling you when to buy and when to sell those stocks in FOLIO?
