Hi,

The Trade Calculator needs to be updated to handle option contracts (see below).

John

You need to check the box that says Round to 100 shares or contract. (since 1 regular option contract represents 100 shares of stock).

Hi Hafnium,

I'm sorry but the round function doesn't make any difference. The Trade Calculator just doesn't work with options (only Stocks/Forex and ETFs I believe).

In the example used, the calculator should have given me the following answer;
2500 / 154 = 16.23 ≈ 16 contracts (the equivalent of 1600 shares obviously).

I reproduced & reported the issue. It's a problem with VT's calculator. OT's calculator works correctly.

Barry,
I have found that selling weekly naked PUTS on a share can be very profitable. Does OptionTrader identify those shares that because of high volatility will offer the best return? Looking for the share manually takes time.

OptionTrader can do that, yes, using the OptionFinder tool with a Volatility filter.
