Gann is subjective and static. re angles. OT, VT, and almost all other charting software platforms are dynamically adjustable. So, the two just don't mix well.

I apologize ... I should have looked up the "Gann Swing Method" before replying. Here is what I found - first a simple definition:

The Gann swing chart has one rule: It will go up whilst the highs of the previous bar are broken until a low is broken, then it will go down whilst lows are broken until a high is passed, then it will turn up.


However there is a much more detailed explanation here, which, being more precise, does not always agree with the explanation above:

You are right ... this is relatively simple to program ... as long as chart visual angles are not a part of the equation. If you know of a better definition that you prefer, please post it here.

Gee that is complicated I am travelling around the country in my caravan at the moment over a weeks driving to home I can provide simpler information when I am home
