I am trying to set up a template that will identify inside vertical bars and outside vertical bars. Another words today price range in inside the price range from the previous day for an inside vertical bar and for an outside vertical bar the low is lower than the previous days low and the high is higher than the previous days high. I see the pricing data has a getlow and gethigh is there someone who can explain to me what these items mean. And if someone could tell me how to define the inside and outside vertical bars. Thank you in advance.

Some links below may help you learn how to do this.. It can be done.. So, just give a look see to start - As I learned from the best, he always told me to try doing it on my own. And when learning OMniscan to write it down, spell it out.. makes it easier.. So, write it down on paper so you can visually see it: Example:

Current Close is Higher then Close 5 days ago - which in Omniscan is:
C > C[5]

That above example code won't help you much but its just to show you how writing it down can help. are all you looking for is an inside bar?

To make things easier, I know I have the code somewhere to scan for inside bar/day.. but I've already looked for it the past 20 minutes. I'll keep looking. Maybe in the meantime these links will help you learn some or get you started..
