Using Pre-Release 2H 2017

I've been having trouble with importing data as user data from a .CSV file. Now I am trying to convert the data into a proper Meta-trader format for OmniTrader.

My (Canadian) data download happens in my OmniPilot code as a .csv file. I am comfortable reformatting the data programatically, but it looks like the actual metatrader format would need to be created using MetaLib and not just some simple formatting rules. I also do not know how to use outside library's like MetaLib in the OmniPilot Editor, if that is possible? Is there a simpler format or any available formater that anyone can suggest? I am currently considering putting my data into an MetaTrader Ascii text format then using EODData's tool to convert it into the proper format. I would just like to know if there is any simpler way's to format the data so that OmniTrader won't have any hicups processing the data. Any suggestions on a simpler solution would be appreciated.

Below I've tried to describe some of the problems I've come across with using csv data. If anyone has a fix it would save me a lot of trouble. I would rather something guarentted to be more stable. I'm finding any sort of efforts to distill the source of the bugs blocked by omnitrader seeming to have saved it's initial buged loading of the data and refusing to change despite restarting it several times.

Note: importing .csv data works in a test profile using the import data function.
(Problems I've had with .csv data as user data)
1) The directory under "Show Path for Symbol" shows up as CSV (No path or file name)
2) The data isn't updating, it seems to be stuck at information previously uploaded despite deleting and re-importing the file. (Done through the Focus list)
3) Random reoccurring 4 month gap in the data when charted.
5) "Symbol to big" error when adding data

Hello,
for approx 5 years I successfully use following tool (approx. 60 Euro) to get Metastock Format stock Prices free from the internet. I use it for EOD stock Prices only. For Realtime I am not sure if the tool will meet the requirement. I never tested it. The tool is called "MLDownloader"
Metastock Format can be used for Omnitrader with no Problem
There als further Tools provided by trading-tools. You can also download the documentation for all Tools, Just watch following Website:

Hello
this is to advise you if someone intends to purchase MLDownloader.
Currently MLDownloader is not working with Yahoo datafeed. Only with Google Finance datafeed.

Thanks Wolf,

I ended up using EODData's conversion tool. It's meant to convert their data. I simply copy my data into their format and then run the tool. I was testing using the yahoo eod data api (which wasn't oficially supported) however they have effectively shut it down. I figured almost no one is getting yahoo data for awhile. It is still possible using a browser or more advanced connection methods to get the data from yahoo though. I'd love to know if MLDownloader gets yahoo data working again. They have a weird cookie based authentication system that seems to give a 401 error even when I use the cookie string that works in the browser. Short of actually making the browser go and download the data itself with their web links I don't know how to get yahoo data running again. My interest in yahoo data is mostly just because I don't like the way they shut it down though. I've moved onto using data I get through a company API that gets data from YCharts.

I wish I had a better way of reformatting it into metastock data but I don't think it's worth the money to buy the API for it when I have it running as is now.
