Expand the newly implemented alerts on indicators to include a check box for (Always Active) as is used in setting New Signal Alerts.

Currently, an alert on an indicator condition set for "Indicator Any Symbol" when triggerred this alert will be removed from pending to triggerred alert status for all symbols and require re-entry. For an alert on an indicator condition this does not make sense.

I would also suggest reviewing all other alert conditions for similar adjustments as appropriate.

I agree with the Always Active checkbox for an individual indicator alert. I brought it up before we released it actually. It doesn't make sense to have it for the Any Symbol one though, it should remain active even after it's triggered. Are you saying it doesn't remain active?

Pending alert for "indicator any symbol" when fired is moved from pending to the triggered status. I tested it live overnight and confirmed the firing action this morning.

We were looking into adding the Always Active checkbox for indicator alerts, but the problem is that if it's always on & it triggers, the alert will just continuously trigger over & over until the condition is no longer met. We would need to figure out a better way to handle that.

Yup. I've run into the same issues with popup recap boxes.

The *killer* is when RT data is used ... each new HRE print can activate the popup.

I created a user-input toggle to control this.

Currently, triggerred alerts present a column for date and time of triggered event but not for data period of the event. However, for the new indicator alerts, entering the alert has a required setting for data period.

Suppose the indicator alert (one symbol or all focus list symbols) will trigger one alert per symbol per the data period list box listed on alert entry. Then the alert firing will result in that one symbol alert in that data period to migrate from the pending to the triggered status - again for that one symbol.

Now if the customer wants a new indicator event to be in position to replace that expired event alert on the one symbol data period, then the customer can re-enter the alert as a one symbol alert on that data period - however all other alerts for other symbols and for the same or other symbols in different data periods remain in place as pending alerts.

Programming would be needed to include a data period in the pending and expired alert table. Also some kind of expired table size management would be needed.

Some followup thoughts on how to expand the alert feature into a better managed component. See attatched:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Follow-up Dec 10:

The current alert pop-up is divided into two sections, pending and triggered. The pending section allows for an alert selection and a list choice per Alert of Add, Edit, Delete. The Triggered section allows for multiple selection for triggered selections to be be Deleted.

I would opt for allowing a triggered alert to have an additional choice also for ”reinstatement .” This selection would place the triggered Symbol, Condition, Data Period back into a pending status by moving that alert to the pending section.

The proposed changes outlined above allow for indicator alerts per symbol per data period for one symbol (or all symbols in a focus list) to trigger just once individually, then become pended without additional re-triggering but also allow the customer to easily scan the triggered list and choose to reinstate that Symbol, Condition, Data Period alert.

If effect, the Alert entry to expiration cycle becomes a feature implemented and maintained by the software but is entirely managed by the customer.

----------------------------------
Dec 11

It looks like release 2A has unleashed the full force of alerts triggering on indicators without expiring them.
