it has been sometime since we have had an upgrade, does anyone know whether Nivana Systems intends to continue upgrading the products?

They spread themselves out too thinly by focusing on different modules, Darvas, Gann, Guppy and all the other plugins.
If they'd just focused on one system/strategy of their own and perfected it, after all of this time they could've had their ultimate trading machine.
It's such a shame really.
I asked an AI and the reply was brutal. "many legacy retail trading platforms lose relevance. By trying to cater to every popular trading philosophy—from Darvas Box and W.D. Gann to Guppy Multiple Moving Averages (GMMA)—Nirvana Systems shifted its business model from engineering a singular "edge" to becoming a marketplace for shiny add-ons and plugins. Here is a breakdown of why your observation is spot-on, along with a look at the commercial mechanics that caused it.🔌 The Problem with "Plugin Bloat"Jack of all trades, master of none: Instead of focusing on deep, modern order-flow execution or proprietary algorithmic advantages, they built a platform that tried to simulate every historical methodology.Contradictory logic: A single platform trying to harmonise structural systems like Gann angles with momentum-based swing systems like Guppy often leaves retail traders confused by conflicting signals.Outdated foundations: Many of these plugins rely on mid-20th-century technical analysis tools that struggle to find a real statistical edge in today’s highly algorithmic, institutionalised market environment.💰 The Pivot to "Software as a Service" Marketing You noted that they could have built an "ultimate trading machine." From a software engineer's or professional trader's perspective, that is the logical path. However, from a retail software vendor's perspective, the math shifts:The upsell loop: Selling a one-time "perfect" machine limits lifetime customer value. Selling a base software package and then constantly marketing new $200–$500 plugins (e.g., "The New Gann Master Module") keeps retail subscribers paying indefinitely.Shifting blame to the tools: If a trader loses money using the base OmniTrader system, the vendor can easily suggest, "Well, that's because you aren't using our new Darvas plug-in for this market regime." It creates an endless loop of retail traders chasing the next tool.📉 Where OmniTrader Stands Now While Nirvana Systems and OmniTrader still technically exist and offer automated strategies, they have largely been eclipsed by modern competitors. The modern shift: Traders looking for an "ultimate trading machine" have largely moved to platforms like Python-based libraries for quantitative analysis or platform ecosystems like TradingView.Open-source dominance: Modern retail algorithms rely on custom coding rather than rigid, closed-source visual modules.Ultimately, your reply hit the nail on the head. They chose short-term marketing and product-line expansion over deep, singular product refinement, and the market eventually outgrew them.

I suggest y'all go to omnifunds2.com and check out their "promo" literature as IMHO I believe they have shifted from a "product sales" model to a subscription-based model. Since Jan 2025 there has been a huge focus on improving the Omnifunds2 performance. I have been with Nirvana for 20+ years and what they have now works for me. I have multiple accounts and now "trade" their top AI model exclusively. I was trading one of their ETF models earlier, but the volatility was too much, even though my accounts were growing at 100+% APR for my IRA account and 300+% APR for my margined YTD. The new OmniFund I switched to should be steady at 50+% APR with MDD of 5%. Everything is automatic and since I am now retired and travel a lot, it works for me. I have enjoyed its performance so much that I opened Roth IRA accounts for my two adult children and moved a large chunk of my wife's money over from Fidelity. Gar Wood Securities is the firm that will help you get set up with the OmniFunds2 system, along with Scott and Nathan of Nirvana. They offer family discounts on the "buy-in", but I now have 5 accounts for family and am paying $500+ per month for the trading. I would not be doing this if it was not working. PLEASE check it out and CALL Nirvana directly with your questions, as they are perfectly valid. As of this morning, my IRA is up 78% APR YTD and my Margin Account is up 178% YTD. . .and that is even after this recent extreme volatility we've had. Good luck and Happy Trading. . . .

Hi Gary, At one time I was a member of Omni Trader / Nirvana for about 12 years and focused in general on Omni Trader. Unfortunately I invested into TradeNosis which was to be frank a complete waste of money.

Omni Funds has always caught my attention and over time I have seen posts of interest on this platform . But with the South African Rand to the dollar at an exchange rate of around 16.4 - the entry cost was rather prohibitive.

What is the least that one would need to invest to at least gain an entry point. Over the years I worked with Scott extensively as well as Gar Wood Securities. Barry Cohen also gained my respect and trust. But going forward I would rather hear from Omni Fund members and their success.

In my time with OT i came across some amazing traders such as Mark Holtius, Tom Helget to name but a few and in August 2013 i flew to Atlanta and spent a few days with Jim Dean. These chaps are all well above my level of expertise.

Apologies for this intrusion

Kind regards, Keith Parsons, Ballito (RSA)

Keith, No "intrusion" at all. Glad to help in any way I can as I believe we all have the same desire, to be able to achieve a "remarkable" return on our stock portfolio without incurring too much risk and having spare time to spend with family or travel. I believe the "retail" buy-in for OmniFunds2 is $10k; however, I paid nowhere near that due to buying the Lifetime Membership some years ago when it was offered. Call Nirvana and ask for a discount, as it can't hurt. Also, if you have a $100k portfolio to invest, and invest in the same AI OmniFund that I am in, AND if you did pay the full $10k buy-in fee...then, your one-year gain would be $50k and after the $10k buy-in would still be $40k or 40% for the first year. Monthly fee for a single account of $100k is about $100/mo. For years 2-10, assuming you avg 50%/yr, after a total of 10 years your now $90k would grow to $3.5MM at end of year 10. Remember that the key to investment gains is to be CONSISTENT at a good return rate; however, so many people (including myself) get restless and achieve good gains, only to lose them again by a lack of consistency. Bottomline. . .DO NOT worry about the buy-in as it will be well "reimbursed" by the gains to come. The thing I like about the AI OmniFund I am in is that it invests in no more than 10% per stock, trades daily, and has no problem holding a large cash position if the market determines it to be best. Cheers . . . .

I always appreciate the differing viewpoints expressed in the forums, they make it the resource that it is today, diverse and useful. For those still here, it represents over 20 years of a good swatch of ideas, approaches of traders/investors, all talented or gifted in unique ways.

Its still here to mine for ideas and approaches and coding ideas. And with the many tools and resources available outside of OT it is more useful than ever before. OT still stands uniquely above all others, there really is none like it, same for VT for sure. And Ed, and his team over the years I hope will be recognized for their devoting their lives/careers to developing software for the mainstream financial consumer.

He and his team I would suspect persevered through thick and thin (Covid for example) and my guess is there might have been times when the road ahead did not look certain.

I too would like to know if OT and VT will continue to be available for those still interested in using it, but I myself would prefer to preface that question or request with expressing first my appreciation for the efforts over the years, I have recently been able to come back after focusing on other aspects of life and really look at what Nirvana Systems did/has done/is doing overall.

And I know that there are others who share the same sentiment of appreciation for what Ed and the team have done over the years.

Also, since OT and VT to an extent are highly programmable or configurable, an upgrade is really not a requirement at least for me to continue to gain usefulness from them. OT and VT are as useful and relevant today as they have ever been, maybe even more so given what resources there are outside of them.

I am also realistic about the resources that Nirvana Systems can devote to it going forward, so again I hope that OT and VT will continue to be available to use. OT provides useful answers to questions and designs and tests the key underpinnings of trading and investing easily. There is no real equivalent or equal in many respects for the average mainstream market participant.

Thank you, Ed and the team,

Respectfully and with gratitude,

Joe k
