Q: How do I disable McAfee's phishing software?
A:
Like a firewall, anti-phishing software can be a cause of our software not reading data usually resulting in timeout errors.
To disable this option in McAfee:
1. Right click on the McAfee tool bar located at the bottom right next to the clock on your computer and select Open Security Center.
2. Select Internet and Network.
3. Look where it says, "To change your options, click configure below." Select this Configure button to allow you to configure your settings.
4. Select Phishing Protection then select Off to disable it.
5. Exit McAfee.
*If you would like to set up OmniData as an exception for the phishing feature, please see the attached document.
