My exits is set at Market on Close(current bar) through stop.

With regards to exits if the price of a symbols closing price coincides to the exact same rate to say a fixed stop loss or trailing stop would that be considered as an exit or is it considered an exit only if the closing price of the bar is above or below the stoploss/traling line?

I have included a screenshot where the closing bar is 10.75 and the Rules of eight trailing stop line is also 10.75.

An exit is something that causes all or part of an active trade to go away.

A full exit ends the trade

A partial exit reduces the number of shares still in trade.

This is true regardless of the order type.

Jim..

I think you have misunderstood my question.

I do know what exits are full, partial etc :)

What i am trying to ask is particular to omnitrader..As in my screenshot, the symbols closing price coincides with the rules of eight trailing stop line..

1.I Do know in this particular case which is a short trade there would have been an exit triggered if the closing bar closes at the end of the hour(60 min charts) above the Rules of eights trailing line.

2.I Do know if the situation was reversed and if there was a long and the close of the bar closes below the rules of eight trailing stop line there will be an exit triggered.

3.What i DO NOT know is if for in the example like i have provided if the closing price of the bar is the same as the rules of eights trailing line i.e closing bar price is 10.75, trailing stop line is also at 10.75.In that case should there be an exit or would it be a hold.?

The reason why i do not know this by simple looking at the focus list is something which i will explain once i can get the above riddle solved...
