I am creating single ETF Portfolios. I just got a message saying "You have reached the maximum number of Portfolios". That put a screeching halt to my testing. I opened another Account and got the same message. I thought there was no limit to the number of Portfolios you can have in OmniVest.

As I recollect from the Bash, the tentative plan was to set "reasonable" limits to the max #'s of things that use CPU time, then charge for excess use. Never saw a formal pricing schedule. So, I suggest you call N about it.

Thanks for the replies. What makes me wonder is this post from Ed.
Wonder if you can move Portfolios from Custom to Archive then create more in Custom or use portfolios from either. Would appreciate Nirvana weighing in on this.

That was in 2012.

The server load and ongoing costs are higher than they expected, especially due to single stock portfolios.

That's fine, I understand, but we just need to know the rules.

Currently the max portfolios you can create is 75. The max you can enable in any one account is unlimited.

Was looking at my Custom Portfolios under Portfolio Library to see which ones I could delete. I decided to count them. Looks like I got cut off at exactly 50.

Yes, I was mistaken, David. I checked with a developer & 50 is the maximum number of custom portfolios you can have.

Using the single stock portfolio strategy (which is a great technique) causes you to run out of capacity on OV very quickly. I can only trade a portfolio of 50 ETF's where with other methods I could be trading a much larger basket.
Is there anyway we could run OV on our own Amazon cloud and then take the load off of Nirvana's cloud?
