Seasons Greetings!
I thought I would share some information with everyone today, and also let you know what we are working on.
OmniTrader 2014
As is always the case, the annual upgrade required a lot of staff time to get completed, tested, and shipped. The good news is it's out, and the really good news is Server Signals are working well. As I mentioned in my last post, this new feature is important to the addition of more Strategy types in OmniVest, including Real Time Strategies.
OmniVest Enhancements
We are in the middle of the Strategy-List separation project I mentioned in my last post. When released, users will be able to upload their own lists and pair Strategies to them. You will be able to dynamically test any individual Strategy (like "R6") against all our lists plus ones you upload. This will dramatically open up the program to customization by users. Our existing strategies will be maintained, but users will be able to decide which ones they want included in analysis on the Strategies page, and will be able to create new pairs using their symbols.
Trade Processor
The 3 enhancements I mentioned in my last post are still being tested (glogal stop loss, share quantities transmitted to the TP, and balance set in OmniVest based on actual account balance). We are very close to releasing these improvements; QA is telling me to expect the release next week. We are also starting the process of moving the TP functionality to servers - I will keep you informed on this as the development plan solidifies.
GXTrader and COR Clearing
We have now been running on COR for over a month, and the transition has gone fairly smoothly. COR can now accept new accounts -- See GXTrader.com for information on establishing a new account. In addition, unlike APEX, COR can establish accounts for non-US citizens. We have already had accounts established by folks outside the U.S. This is one of the big benefits of being at COR.
New Setting for Small Accounts
At the bottom of settings is a new Setting that says, "Increase Trade Size to at Least [x] dollars." This has the effect of increasing trade size from a Strategy so small trades won't be taken in a small account. The feature works well when simulating starting with a balance of $10,000 or even just $5,000.
I will keep you informed on other developments as they unfold.
