Seasons Greetings All!

Since we are nearly at the start of the new year, I wanted to post our latest news from TradeLog, the company we have partnered with to provide file conversion for COR Clearing for tax filing purposes. The version of TradeLog that supports COR is now available. Here is the information from TradeLog:

TradeLog Support for GXTrader (COR Clearing)

We have released support for GX Trader / COR Clearing in our beta version of TradeLog. Attached is a PDF file of the instructions (these will be released in the user guide when we do the final release).

You can download the beta from: www.tradelogsoftware.com/support-center/beta (note: you must purchase the product to be enabled for the Beta - see pricing link below. Those who do not want to purchase yet can wait until January, at which point we will issue a news announcement when the product is out of Beta.)

Please note the following steps for transitioning from APEX to COR:

1) You should import all of your trade history using the APEX import filter up through the transition date. (You want to make sure all trade history is imported from APEX before proceeding).

2) Next, change your import filter to GX Trader. For instructions on changing import filters for an account see the following: http://www.tradelogsoftware.com/support/user-guide/select-import-filter.php Please note that you are not creating a new account tab, you will have the same account but simply change the import filter.

3) Now, continue importing the remainder of the year with the GX Trader import filter.

Because this is a new import filter and we do not have extensive data for testing, there may be problems that arise. We encourage you to import your data up-to-date and let us know if you encounter any errors or abnormalities. An announcement will be made on the Forum and site in early January when the product is out of Beta.

Excellent Ed...

They also have an outstanding synopsis of wash sale rules on their site (and how their software can help):

Happy New Year!
