Larry Connors launched The Machine after we started the OmniVest project (we began work on the Trade Processor project in November 2009). The web site is at themachineus.com.
We have a very good understanding of what "The Machine" offers. I may post more info here about it at some point, or other users may also feel free to do so.

Ed,
As best I can tell, The Machine was launched over two years ago. See

Their pitch about diversifying over different time frames (day trading, swing trading, position trading) is compelling. Obviously, something we'll be able to do as well, but I like the way they present it as a the next alternative to asset diversification.

Right Steve. As you say, we will soon have Strategies running in timeframes other than daily for the reason you mention. The ultimate diversification would be across all four dimensions: Asset Classes, Strategies, Timeframes and Markets. Under Asset Classes we will also soon have Option Strategies - something I am personally driving in the project and very much look forward to!
I hope I didn't stifle posts in other areas of OmniVest by posting about The Machine. At some point I'll write a paper about the differences (which are numerous.) For now, it's important to focus on getting OmniVest and The Trade Processor through Beta.
