Is an IB IRA. See attached for trade setting.
My IRA account does not go 100% invested often, but has been hitting the 100% ceiling last week and this was the way I found to not receive Broker rejects, due to failure of 'Delay Opening Orders' on 4D(?) platform. So, it is a 'so far, so good' status.
BTW, I was a little surprised, but excited; no need for xx days Settlement Wait Day, etc. with IB?
Now I'll watch slippage with delayed Opens/Closes. Interesting to see impact there. I have OCD on live OV historical trades following OV simulated trades and slippage differences, so...

Hi Brian,
I just wanted to comment that OV has to use the Closing price from the day before to arrive at the # of shares to purchase the next morning - and if the symbol jumps up at the Open (definitely possible with leveraged ETFs), then the purchase could be for more $$ than are available in the account and be rejected by the broker...
Just a thought (and why I've set my IRA TP and OV Buying Power to 95% to give a little more "wiggle room").
Best of luck,
Mark
BTW - On the slippage data front, you might be interested my post 2 days ago here;

Understand. I too keep Buying power at 95% due to those mentioned factors.
My problem arises that Trade Processor 4D seems to submit all Open and Close orders at the "Order Submission" times (which I set for about 9:15AM or so). "Delay Opening Orders" does not seem to work for me in 4D, and others seemed to have same problem. For me, previously that always resolved having open positions needing to be closed before opening more positions (with Interactive Brokers).
Very curious about slippage on your ETFs. Looking forward to your findings. Never seen slippage problems in high volume ETFs, but you seem to be covering a larger ETF spectrum than I've played with. I keep "Min Average Daily Volume" pretty high.
