Greetings! Last Monday, I posted a Survey which 26 users took. Most of these users are folks who are very active in the Forum and who have been working with OmniVest since the first Beta. Hence, their ideas are all very good. In fact, this was one of the best surveys in terms of input that I have ever conducted. I have taken the input and created a new Survey with "Primary" and "Secondary" feature areas. The Primary Features are general areas of focus for us based on the number of responses in the survey; the Secondary Features are those that perhaps one or two users requested but which are still very good ideas. Here is the link... http://www.nirvanasystems.com/surveys/TakeSurvey.asp?SurveyID=7LH9n5LH8n8KG We are currently implementing Dynamic Lists in OmniVest, which is one of the Primary Features in the Survey. This emerged in our meetings last week as a critically important analysis technique that benefits back tests enormously. We will be building Dynamic Portfolios with this new feature once it is available - could be as soon as a few weeks from now. What we need to do is prioritize the remaining items. I will post the results in this Forum by Tuesday of next week. Thank you!

Sunday Morning... Good day everyone. I just checked the Survey and we have 65 so far. Below are the preliminary results. Very interesting.. I plan to post the final results by Tuesday. Clearly, the current feature we are working on - Dynamic Lists - has the highest interest. I expected that. When I publish the results, I will also publish all comments that are constructive to our mission. Thanks for participating... ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not to confuse things but I thought it might be interesting to bin Very Important and Important together. It could give another view of the results. Here's what I found with results to date in order of popularity. "Dynamic Lists" stays on top but "Improved Trade Selection" moves down from 2 to 4. Strategy Wizard becomes #2: Dynamic Lists - 89% Strategy Wizard to Build Portfolios - 77% Intelligent Order Processing - 76% Improved Trade Selection - 71% Customize Orders - 67% Dynamic Portfolio Switching - 66% Export Data from OmniVest - 57% Upload my Own OmniTrader Strategies - 54%

Diamondjag You just beat me to posting these figures! The way I see it is the most important thing to most users (including me) is to have a painless way of creating good (not necessarily the best) reliable systems. Hence the items appearing at 1-4 in your list.

We had 91 responses to this important Feature Survey, which is good. Here are the final survey results: The priorities indicated by the survey are in line with most of what we were already doing. Dynamic Lists have now been implemented are going to be tested next week as we build portfolios using them. I expect that feature to be released the week of 3/25. I am reviewing the "write in" options. There enough of them to warrant another survey; I will launch that over the weekend. We appreciate the input. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I went thru the survey and highlighted options with scores that were comparable to the red-box scores, but were overlooked. I don't understand why the redbox options were chosen. Color coding shows ... green = very much within the typical red-box range yellow = comparable to some entries in the red-box range pink = low-end score that got a red-box [Edited by Jim Dean on 3/16/2014 4:55 PM] ![]()

Ed, Can you offer any timeline for adding some of the new products to the system? i.e. Options or Futures. These were noted as planned future features in the various sales presentations I had before purchasing this product. Appreciate the work on improving the existing tools for stock trading/processing, but I am sure others also have a desire for alternative trading options. Thanks George |
