megabucks Veteran   Posts: 292 Joined: 9/30/2010 Location: uk  User Profile | thankyou marc for the response i personal find that im not one for designing my own methods very well very much like strategies,,,you either use it out the packet or you build your own. im really more of use it right out of the packet with the instructions. as for the thread,, my idea is based mainly that i like to use other forums and read other peoples ideas and there methods on what they do to take trades being able to follow it and also download charts etc to install and to follow along and try these things out ok i know there are alot of time wasters out there who post nothing but spam. i guess thats the chance you take. i can read and look at pictures and try these system/methods out and they may not suit me but there maybe ideas i see that i could try and incorporate into my own ways. i also remember i think back in 2009 tom helget has a 7 or 8 page spread where he posted an omniscan for hurst. if i remember right members followed the thread and downloaded the moniscan and profile etc to use with the hhurst plugin and found that they were picking up the same symbols as possible candidates to trade as tom was. basically tom came up with something and other members followed his lead and tried out his method. be it suitable for them or not who knows but my basic concept of the new thread is the same. if someone can post the charts strategies etc etc and others download and follow the system/method then great for some it maybe a good thing for them to want to use or just parts of it.so they have a trading method they can use thanks to joe bloggs posting also maybe experienced users maybe able to advise where they maybe going wrong or if a different indicator may suit them better etc so basically giving advice to help on that one system/setup. also reading marc what you write i think you expand a little on what my original thinking was but i do fully embrace your thinking. i think barry if he was to do this with others support then i feel it would need organised threads rather then generalised titles where many topics are discussed for example if i was to buy say hurst and i wanna try out ideas i would go to the trade system/setup thread and look for the posting heading of hurst,which i know i can read thru which solely relates to only hurst and the plugin. again maybe i may find julesrulesny setup as a thread and i enter it to only read what marc has posted about his method and if i like the pictures or what he has to say i can download the chart and duplicate his setup and try it out . there maybe as i say one idea in marcs method that may suit me or that i may make a suggestion which may help him to improve his approach. for the newbies this could be invaluable help. i for one would very much welcome this and for me would help alot. but this would need the generosity of others to make it work i personally would post mine on the forum and would welcome any comments to improve what i have. i do very much like what marc had to write tho,,,expanding on my original suggestion was great thinking. maybe if barry was to do this maybe taking the whole ideas then we could have a dedicated section as to like maybe a library with specific titles to find what you want. it begs the question tho,,that to a point , is this forum a little generalised rather then specific in titles. could this forum be in need of an overhaul??? either way i must say it is barry who will have the work to do,,so i respect what barry says a great deal. as for not keeping my hopes up marc well i always keep my fingers crossed for the greater good for all after all we help each other out in the quest to achieved mega money i hope you all share my vision and can embrace it and maybe shape a new thread or a new forum that could be a little more organised in topics. sorry marc if i wrote a long thread mate lol i forgot this is you area of expertise not mine again sorry all lol jason | |
