I used it for two years just fine. Yes OT13 was less stable when it came it out than prior years were when they came out. Lots of good reasons for that. Much of that has been fixed now - I suggest you give it another 30-day free trial - but keep your 2012 active on the same machine just in case. That is what I've been doing. 2013 has some really cool new stuff - DSS is a major MAJOR improvement - I just learned more about it at the Bash last weekend. I've provided explanatory posts several times in the past regarding how N's "release cycles" work. Bottom line - OT is always a "work in progress". The most stable versions of it are near the end of each yearly cycle. So if you want stability then DON'T expect to play with all the shiny new features right away. Regarding free upgrades to prior years' versions to add features in new versions - REALITY CHECK - if Nirvana did that they would go broke quickly. None of us wants that!
