I am having the same problem. One thing I have found out that helps is I have unchecked On-Demand Downloading under Data Options. After 2-3 timeouts and error messages the SPY data does seem to download. I am trying to use the RelMOM indicator from Secret Sauce 2 which compares the data on each chart to the SPY. I don't know if that is part of the problem.
