Here are the steps to get it fixed: Click on Start -> Run -> Regedit Navigate to this location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager Locate the key on the right-hand side of this window named "PendingFileRenameOperations" and delete it.
