I'm not seeing an issue with this. Are you sure you have the portfolio account selected under View/Portfolios that you're intending? You might check if you have confirmations enabled for that account in the same area - click Edit Account & "Require Order Confirmation" should be disabled. If it's not disabled the behavior described makes sense.
