One way that Omnifunds could support international markets or, at least international IB accounts, would be to have the current web version support the stand alone trade processor as Omnivest does. I was told that would not be particularly difficult to do since trade processing is very similar in each of products. If Nirvana follows through on getting the Omnifunds RIA exception for the Canadian market then this functionality will be a big bonus and the rest of the world will be an added bonus. Using the trade porcessor would also provide the side benefit of supporting independent sub-accounts on IB that the neither web version does today. I would support any efforts to get this implemented. I can’t comment on VT development other than a promise that the Omnifunds functionality would not be deprecated. Tim | |
