You mentioned the volume * close for VEA in the other thread not being right & it's due to the same issue as this watermark issue. VEA is a US symbol too & that value it's calculating is from the US VEA symbol. In other words any symbol that is in both markets is going to cause you problems. The best course of action would be to use 2 separate Windows devices, with OT set to US on one & OT set to AU/ASX on the other. You could use VMWare or something like that on the same PC allowing access to a 2nd Windows running on a virtual machine. That way you can do them both on a single PC. The alternative is to switch databases & profiles whenever you want to switch between US & ASX, especially if you have any symbols that are in both US & ASX markets, which you obviously do. The problems with this are that it's tedious, but also it's very easy to make a mistake & accidently get US symbols targeting Metastock or ASX symbols targeting OmniData. So let's say you have a US profile using OmniData & an ASX profile using Metastock data, & you're currently set to use the US database. To switch you will do the following: 1. Switch to the AU database & ASX exchange under Edit/Exchange Information. 2. Restart OT. 3. Switch to your ASX profile. That would be your normal process. But to get that to work you will first need to get all your Metastock data symbols to target the correct locations while the AU database is in use. To do that, create a temporary profile (File/New) after steps 1-3 above. Then add ALL your ASX symbols from your Metastock folders. That should retarget all your symbols & allow your previous ASX profiles to work properly (watermark & OmniScan). You might need to rerun your analysis in those OmniScan used profiles though first. |
