Support:

Recently I was looking into using the (New High - New Low) four week symbols provided by OmniData to construct an indicator. These symbols are $AX4W.N, $NQ4W.N and $NY4W.N for the AMEX, NASDAQ and NYSE exchanges respectively. However the charts of these show that the values plotted are not integer values but rather floating point numbers (like the lowest $NQ4W.N value of 0.15) shown on the chart below:

So, what in the heck are we really seeing here? There is no way to subtract and integer (low) from an integer (high) and get 0.15.

And, one other question - to calculate the indicator I desire it is necessary to know the Total Number of Issues active on any given trading day. While there does seem to be a symbol for the NASDAQ - $NQTI.N - there doesn't seem to be corresponding symbols for the AMEX or NYSE. Have I somehow overlooked them?

Thanks for your assistance!

Tom Helget
