Q: How can I use my TC200# Funds data in OmniTrader?
A:
1. Update/download your data using your TC200# software first.
a. For Funds, the data must be converted to Metastock format first using TC200#. To do this, click Databank/Smart Export to Metastock. It will come up with a screen like the attached picture.
b. For the Data Path choose something like C:\Program Files\TC200#\Data or some other place you would like the data to be stored in.
c. The Days to export is how much data you want to see in your charts. 500 is normal, & equates to 2 years.
d. Then click the Smart Export button.
2. Open OmniTrader.
*You may want to create a new Focus List at this time by clicking File/New.
3. Click on the Pencil icon at the top of the Focus List.
4. Select User Data from the drop-down list or click the USER button. If the US Stocks tabs come up, click the EASY button, then click the USER button.
5. If your data is not showing, on the right side under Drive & Directories, you need to find it. Once you select the location of the data that you saved it in in step 1 under the Data Files Path, the symbols will appear in the center of the screen.
6. Once you're data is in the center of the screen, click on a symbol to highlight it or highlight multiple symbols.
7. Then click the Add button on the top left & it should add them to your Focus List on the left-hand side.
8. Click Ok on the bottom right to save your changes.
9. Now back on the main screen, double-click the symbol to get a chart.
