Thanks Nirvana for setting up the Trading Lab and posting the trades. Before using any new strategy the most important thing for me to know is what the net return looks like. As a general rule if commissions are over 20% of profits then I’ll pass as the average profit per trade is too low. This could be a result of not getting the big movers during the day even if the win rate is very good.
So here is a simple worksheet to help with that. Using a $25,000 account with 4X leverage allows for five positions at the 20% allocation used in the lab. MB Trading works with OmniTrader and has a flat rate of $4.95. Others maybe lower but this is a good number to use for evaluation.
Looking at the trades from yesterday RTX-3 showed a profit as well as a 75% win rate. Most of the profits were given to the broker making the return much lower than one would like. Just something to thing about...Charlie
