The change log of OT2016 Pre Release 3I states:

"Heikin-Ashi timeframes are no longer classified as NTB (Non Time-Based) timeframes. As a result, Heikin-Ashi timeframes are not constrained to any limitations currently present in NTB timeframes."

Barry, can you elaborate what were the limitations of Heikin-Ashi which have been removed now?

We didn't make specific changes to remove limitations, HA is just treated as a time-based timeframe now. Off the top of my head, here are some NTB limitations, but there are probably others related to stops, options, & plotting things on charts.

- Certain time-based indicators will not plot on NTBs
- Option curves will not plot on NTBs.
- Trading on NTBs prompt warning messages requiring a key to unlock.
