I would really like to see a built-in backup utility that would allow automatically backing up OT and VT to another drive or a cloud storage.

There are utilities available but after experiencing this in another charting program it is extremely useful as it was broken down to being able to restore selected files and days in however much history the user chose to keep. Whoops, I deleted or forgot to save a version of a custom profile on Wednesday, no problem.

After one catastrophic failure and loss of all data and installations as I did today I would have kissed the ground if I had this.

You can do this, in whole or in part, using dos batch files to target either the entire omniTrader folder, or just the parts of it that change from use. But you can’t cooy the registry entries. So if catastrophe occurs you will still have to reinstall the program, plugins, and OmniData

Then just put a shortcut on the desktop to kick off the Batch file.

As for doing incremental restores - effectively impossible due to all the spaghetti interactions in OT amongst the pieces.
