At the bottom of the Focus List window are various buttons including the "Chart Button—Opens below the Focus List a mini chart of the highlighted security."
Is there a way to keep a mini chart of a security in the Focus List display if a user then selects a new security and charts the new security in the main chart window?
For example, it would be nice to have a mini chart of an index such as the S&P 500 while displaying a stock in the main chart window.
If it is possible to keep a mini chart, then how does a user control the number of periods, indicators, etc. that are displayed in the mini chart?

That chart doesn't have functionality to do that, but you can plot a static floating chart of an index & put it wherever you want. Right-click the symbol & plot floating chart. Size it & place it where you want. As long as it isn't the active window it won't change. And you can set your chart periods & a specific chart template for it as well.
