I have way to many chart templates. I do not want to see all of them every time I change my chart template.
What I would prefer is to be able to select which templates are displayed, with the option to Show All if need be.
I think a Profile based selection dialog might be a good way to go.
Think Edit | Enable Chart Templates where all templates are displayed with a Enable/Disable checkbox .
And a "Make this selection Global" so I can more permanently hide templates for Plug Ins I seldom use...
Alternately, use the ubiquitous "Pin" on every template that appears when I use the Chart's Template drop down.
Pinned templates would appear at the top of the list, so I could easily find and select an alternate template.
This kinda ties favorite templates to a specific chart template vs. Profile...
so each Chart Template could have it's own list of Pinned alternative templates.
Lots of ways to skin a fish. (Well, maybe not. Lol)
Bottom line, I just want a fast way to switch between the 2 or 3 templates I like to use with the Strategies I have enabled, and the broad market analysis I perform with a specific Profile. Streamlined workflow...
Thanks for your consideration.

What works for me is in explorer I create subfolders to the /chart templates and move the templates into aptly named subfolders. Then in OT the template drop down is just the active templates and listing of named folders which expand to the contained templates when selected. Not sure if that helps but like you I have a bunches of templates with different combinations of indicators/systems and this helps keep them organized.

That is good to know. It will cut the clutter.
It would still be nice to have per Profile favorites.
I hate busy charts, and prefer switching templates where each template only has a specific purpose.
cheers
