Barry,

The last few days the color for SPY has stayed green on the 1 min chart, the 5 min is ok, and if I switch to $SPX that is also ok.

Any idea why this is happening on SPY only?

It's just how the ZZ indicator is with the 2.5 parameter. If you lower the sensitivity to 2.05 or less it will look better for yesterday. My guess is it was related to some of the post market crazy ticks on the 29th. Today though it seems to have bypassed the chart data that was causing it & returned to normal.
