I have a problem with connecting to the eSignal EOD data server.
I use the eSignal Data Manager 8.1 and all is working fine when I use another program.
But Omnitrader keeps giving me a Password / Login error.
When in Omnitrader I check the connection (under commications tab - test daily connection)
It gives the following messages :
Succesfully connected to the Data Manager
Succesfully connected to the Historical server
invalid user name or password.
The data manager says
Password and Username OK.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem ?

Click Edit/Data Settings in OT. Retype your eSignal Username & Password in the fields, but do not click Ok yet. Close your eSignal Data Manager which will be running in the background. After it's closed click Ok for the Data Settings. This will set your eSignal ID & PW in your OT as well as the Data Manager.

Berry,
Thanks for the info, but it failt to work.
Strange thing is that sometimes I get the following message:
"Invalid user name and Password" and sometimes:
"Tick server: Invalid user name and Password".
I make use that the realtime checkbox is not checked.
Everytime I do change my password the realtime checkbox gets checked automaticaly bij OT. So I manually uncheck it.
In case its is checked then I get the following message:
"Invalid username or password for you Realtime Data feed ....".
I have no clue how I can solve this, but because of the word "Tick server" I have the impression that OT keeps looking for tick data instead of End of Day Data, and because I don't have realtime but only EOD data from eSignal, eSignal wil not supply it.
I have downloaded a trial copy of AmiBroker to see what happens. AmiBroker downloads the EOD from eSignal with no problems.
Hopefully you can check into this problem and find a solution

Bardo, the only reason it would give that message is if the ID or Password were incorrect in either the eSignal Data Manager or in OmniTrader's Data Settings. Actually it could also be that your trying to access realtime & you don't have realtime data coming from eSignal. It is case sensitive, so make sure you're typing it correctly. If you'd like further help we might need to talk on the phone.
