The error log indicates that you probably have a problem with the Microsoft .Net framework. I would first suggest installing the latest update (Pre-Release 4E) for OT2008 from here:

http://www.nirvanasystems.com/oti/software/omnitrader/updaters/ot2008/

After you have downloaded and installed the PR4E, try going to C:\Program Files\Nirvana\OT2008\ and double click on the "Register.exe" file w/the grey triangle icon. If anything fails in this window, please let me know which file(s) is/are failing.

If you want to go ahead and try removing and reinstalling the Microsoft .Net framework on your machine, here are the steps we suggest:

Step 1: Remove the corrupt .NET Framework components:
=====================================
a. Please download the dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip from the link below. It will allow you to easily uninstall Microsoft .Net from Windows.
http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/attachment/8904493.ashx

Please Note: The third-party product discussed here is manufactured by a company that is independent of Nirvana Systems. We make no warranty, implied or otherwise, regarding this product's performance or reliability.

b. Open the zipped file, and you will get the tool "cleanup_tool.exe".
c. Please double click it and choose Yes to reply.
d. At "Product to cleanup", Choose .NET Framework - All Versions.
e. Then click Cleanup Now.

Step 2: Now reinstall Microsoft .Net from this link:
========================================

Microsoft .Net 2.0

Microsoft .Net 3.5 SP1

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=AB99342F-5D1A-413D-8319-81DA479AB0D7&displaylang=en

After you have Microsoft .Net reinstalled, then go ahead and try opening OT2008 again. Please let me know if the error(s) continue~
