What are the recommended system requirements for OT 2017 - Disk, Memory, CPU, OperatinG System (Windows 10?), etc. | ||

Your system should have at least 8GB of RAM, and a SSD is highly recommended..! | ||

How about CPU? I was unfamiliar with the advantages of SSD, so looked it up .. Benefits of SSDs: SSDs • Road warriors: People who shove their laptops into their bags indiscriminately will want the extra security of an SSD. That laptop may not be fully asleep when you violently shut it to catch your next flight. This also includes folks who work in the field, like utility workers and university researchers. • Speed demons: If you need things done now, spend the extra bucks for quick boot-ups and app launches. Supplement with a storage SSD or hard drive if you need extra space (see below). • Graphic arts and engineering professionals: Yes, I know I said they need hard drives, but the speed of an SSD may make the difference between completing two proposals for your client and completing five. Even ED has pointed out that having a SSD is more important than having the latest CPU. OT isn't really optimized for multitasking, so having a quad-core CPU may be less important unless you're using the PC for other purposes as well... [Edited by John J on 1/22/2017 12:32 PM] | ||
