Recently (after upgrade to 2008) I started noticing increasing trouble as I tried to sort my Focus lists either by symbol or signal or any column. What happens is I get no symbol data displayed. Sometimes my watch list will sort but the main list is empty. I have tried rebooting and checking the data fields with out any improvement. A few times I have received a "data access error" message. It seems accociate with the chart stategy window - changing from trending, breakout, or reveral stategy cause the focus list to go blank. Any suggestions?

I have heard of this behavior, but have been unsuccessful in duplicating it. When restarting OT2008 the issue seems to resolves itself. If it still occurs for you try creating a new Profile(File/New). You can import your symbols from the previous Profile by clicking File/Import/Profile.
If you can still duplicate this upon restarting OT2008 please post your click path so that we can try to get the same behavior.

I was under the impression (when I discussed this issue by phone with support)this was a problem to be addressed on next upgrades, I did not see this on the list of fixes today, I just hope I did not waist my time on the phone as well as reporting it on previous postings.

Actually from looking at the first file (CPRM) it looks like the same problem I encounter, many times when opening a new list on the focus list I am working with, the list is blank, no symbols or descriptions, same for my Watch List below.
It takes some work to fill the columns, some times by double clicking on some of the columns, other times have to just open a different list on the same profile, some times nothing works and have to just close OT and reopen it.
I have so many problems with these release of OT that just have not found the time to call support for this,I was not sure if it was my computer? but now I can see exactly the same situation on his screen.
Barry, could you see this is referred as a bug on the program?

I'll have to check. But this Pre-Release 3A was only a small patch to fix Folio since they updated their website this past weekend. Pre-Release 3B (which would've been 3A had we not had to fix Folio) is currently in the works.

The disappearring symbol list issue was looked at, yes, but we are still unable to duplicate it or provide a fix. Restarting the program should relieve the issue. If it starts to be a problem on one Profile too often try creating a new Profile (File/New) & import your symbols. If you have any information as to how to make the symbols disappear please let me know.
