OT2008 requires a hotfix which Windows 7 does not accept. Is there any way out? Thank you.

How can you tell when a PC is lying?
When its cursor is moving.

Yesterday, support & I agreed that since OTP/Omniscan 2009 was indicating that my Vista64 machine was having an operating system problem, I might as well install Win 7 with a fresh install of N products (at my suggestion). I was going to wait until at least the first patch of Win 7, but I really did not want to install Vista64 again, and then turn around and do a Win 7 install in a couple months. Vista64 is no picnic to install.
Granted my system has 2 video cards supporting 6 monitors, so it isn't quite the norm . . .
I started at noon and finished at 9 in the evening last night. It took 6 or so (I stopped counting at some point) installs of Win7 64 to get it right - no kidding. Once Win7 was installed with no glitches (learned NOT to install the manufacturer's Win7 current drivers or Win 7s own update to the graphic drivers it selected for my cards - that was 2 reinstalls) it has been running rock solid. OTP 09, VT5 & OmniScan installed without a hitch. The problem I was having with OmniScan resolved. All in all, installing Win7 was no worse than installing Vista64, but wait if you can for the traditional first SP. ALL of my install problems were related to getting my 2 video cards working correctly. If you take out the Video card issue, Win 7 64 would have installed the first time with no problems.
Also, a big thanks to Ryan O and Jon G for all their efforts to get my problem fixed short of a reinstall of Windows. Nirv support rocks.

And all that is why I really liked Windows 98!

Hey guys~ If you are trying to install an older release of OmniTrader 2008 (...prior to Release 3...) on Windows 7, you will be unable to do so. Release 3 will install a J Sharp update, prompt for a restart and then the OT2008 icon will be on your desktop. If you need an updated disc or the link to download the Release 3 install of OT2008, please send a request to support.
Regards,
Thad
