Tried installing OT2013 2O twice, it installs ok but when it gets to the "Updating Nirvana RT Data" instead of taking several minutes it's taking several HOURS and still nothing.
When I click cancel nothing happens and I have to "Ctrl-Alt-Del" several times to get out of the installer then it locks up my system!!!!!! To make matters worse OT2013 won't start now!!! looks like I'm going to have to re-install OT 2013 AGAIN!!!
I downloaded this update at the request of Tech Support because VT10 won't import OT profiles, I keep getting an index DB error message!!!
I upgraded hoping there would be no significant bugs in OT/VT and instead of trading in real time with this software my time is spent on the phone with Tech Support!!

Reinstalling will not help the issue. You can try this:
Install the update again. When it gets to the "Updating Nirvana RT Data" part & seems to hang, give it a couple minutes. Then press Ctrl-Alt-Del & open the Task Manager. Kill the "NirvanaRTDataPackage.exe" process only. After that process is ended, the OT install should complete normally & OT should start up.

I've had that same problem many times, including the latest update, and just found this thread. So, I'll try it.
But, how come this keeps happening and isn't corrected?
Also, the last updates on OT and VT have insisted on installing Framework 1, 3.5,and 4. But those are already installed and working fine on my PC. Why do this?

It should only attempt to install .NET if something is missing. As for when an install hangs, that doesn't occur for everyone. We're still troubleshooting that issue.
