Subject : Just got OMNITRADER 2008 today, need help...

Hi, I just got the software today in the post.
I really need some help here please.

I have installed it. I need a data feed, so I signed up with OMNIDATA and paid my $19, they sent me an email saying that I would receive a OMNIDATA installation CD by post.

I just need to get this right: I cant use OMNITRADER until I have the OMNIDATA CD right??

Is there anything I should do to get started with OMNITRADER until I get the Omnidata CD?

Any help for a newbie will be appreciated, thanks.

For starters, suggest you try downloading OmniData from http://omnidata.nirvanasystems.com

I have used this site to download OmniData. It does take a few minutes; however, the data downloaded is current (I think). And, the file can be uninstalled if it doesn't work.

Yes, you can download the OmniData install from http://omnidata.nirvanasystems.com. You do not have to wait for a cd.

The OmniData & OmniScan installations are the same, so you should already have it now. When it is activated in your account you should be able to enable it in OmniTrader just by running your ToDo List Download. Click the Pencil icon to enter OmniScan.

OK I actually worked it out. Thanks for your swift email responses.

Just noticed on my chart window on the right however that I do not get any LONG or SHORT signals on the chart itself. I only get these signals on the VOTE line.

I have so far uploaded many of NIRVANA's list on my FOCUS LIST (large cap stock, uptrending stocks under $10, Bullish MACD crossovers and a few more until I get confortable), I am also using the REVERSAL chart template instead of the STANDARD one, again I'm just trying things out for now.

Is there any reason why I dont get the "red or green triangle" signals on the chart itself but I get them on the vote line?
How can I fix that so that I have them both.

No problem, just click View/Chart Options & open the Trades tab. Enable the "Plot voted signals in chart" option.
