While running OT in Auto mode, several of the profiles return a 'Not Enough data' response and then waits for an Enter key response to continue. This unfortunately requires input from me before the Auto Mode will continue to process the other profiles.

Is there any option to turn this check off?

Thanks,
Randy

Just my two cents - If you run each of your Profiles separtly you will get the "not enough data" message. You then allow the Profile to update the needed data for that Profie. From then on, you should not get the message when the run the Profiles in Auto.

Hi David,
The profiles I'm running don't have a fixed test period. I use a fixed starting date (1/1/2000) and then the current date as the endpoint, so the problem occurs every month I run them.

Not a big deal when I run them individually. I was looking to automate this part of my monthly performance analysis when one of your recent posts reminded me of AutoMode.

Unfortunately, the popup box puts everything on hold till I provide some input. I was hoping there is a configuration item available to 'mute' it or someone has figured out a way to deal with it.

That message means you have profile test settings that require a certain amount of data & when you say yes, it updates your number of bars for you to allow enough data for the profile to do what is being asked. Using a fixed test period tends to do that. For example if you have a fixed test period starting at Jan 1, 2020 & you have 500 bars loaded in the profile, once it gets to Jan 2, 2022 (approx), it's going to need more than 500 bars to still load data back to Jan 2020.

There's no setting to turn it off, but consider using a floating test period instead of fixed - then that issue won't happen anymore. A fixed test period typically isn't necessary unless you're trying to reproduce specific results in reports or in Port Sim.

Hi Barry,

Thanks for the update.

These profiles are part of my historical strategy testing so do want them to have a fixed start date.

I'm wondering since this is just an informational response, would it be possible to change the response window from the 'OK' to the window which allows 'OK' but also has a 60 second countdown timer? This would allow the auto mode to continue yet still provide the notification about not enough data.

Thanks,
Randy

Barry,
I'm increasing the Data Periods Maximum bars to 10000. That should mitigate the issue for quite a while. Let me know if the option of changing to a timed response is something which could be added.
Thanks,
Randy

We can certainly add a setting that removes the prompt or adds a timer to the popup, but I don't know when I can get that added. In the meantime, if you increase the Data Periods to a high number like that, it should help for sure.
