I notice that OT 3B lets you check "Allow use of weekly options" in trade plans. Does this mean I can backtest with weekly options? If so, how do I configure a trade plan so it only uses weekly options?

Our historical options modelling data doesn't include weekly options unfortunately.

Hi Barry,
Just wondering whether there are any plans of including modelling data for weekly options in the future?
Reason for asking is that several spread strategies out there combine weekly options with monthly options. It would be very nice obviously to be able to run backtests on such strategies...

Sorry, we have no plans for that, but we have other improvements coming very soon for option traders.

Barry...Is there any possibility of support for non-US markets in the upcoming version of Option Trader? Not only it will be great boon for International users, it will generate additional revenues for Nirvana also.

With the option finders tool, I noticed weekly options in the database. Is there a way or setting to search just for weekly options.
Thanks,
Alan

Unfortunately not. You can enable/disable weekly options, but there's no such setting to disable monthly options.

Barry,
Thanks for the response. So, if I wanted a work around to search for cheap out of the money weeklys, then would it be best to change the margin value to say for example, $2.00 or less thus having the weeklys natural float to the surface?
