For several years I and others have requested the ability to save a template of the chart layout, with time frames, indicators, chart templates, sync, etc. Other charting software has it and it is very handy. Several actions in OT such as crashes, running Tradescope, and many other actions will cause the charts to close and you have to rebuild your favorite configuration.
In the 20+ years I have been using OT I would venture to say I could have built a house with the time I spent re-building my chart layouts <:)
So, I'm throwing in one more request for this feature. Thanks for considering it.

Larry’s right.
This has been a LONG standing request, and makes a huge amount of sense.
Chart layout options in OT are powerful, but the lack of templates essentially NUKES them.
Please add this.

I think I've spent those same hours rebuilding Profiles.

My chart templates and profiles are backed up daily with Acronis backup software. It takes me about 10 minutes to restore one of these files, if corrupted. It is
a very rare event for me. I have over 50 templates and over 150 profiles that I use.

Larry’s request (an mine, and many from prior years) is asking for a way to save and name the LAYOUTS, not profiles or chart templates. That is, the special combo of multiple charts with varying periods and indicators etc, both within the OT window and in separate windows.
The existing ones get zapped easily, for multiple reasons.
No amount of backups help restore them, since they aren’t saved as distinct entitities.
And, even if the current one is not lost, there are many good reasons for saving multiple Layouts for different reasons, and using them all when the need arises.

This problem just happened to me again. It is both time consuming and frustrating to have to rebuild all the charts with your favorite information including time frames and sync. I'll add my vote to solving this problem.

I share the frustration with Chart Crashes. I have run into this issue many times, usually when experimenting. Adding a plugin indicator or parameter change sometime triggers my Chart Crashes. Customized Omni-language indicators are also culprits sometimes. A new Save As Layout option on the Template drop down Menu would be welcomed. The refreshed Chart Layout may still produce those annoying cryptic error messages when certain indicators or even systems are added. Tracing the root cause of the Chart Crash is sometimes unavoidable.

For Mutiple Charts, with different Time frames, layouts, symbols and chart templates I use Chart Tabs a lot. I tire of rebuilding a Tab for my 4 favorite indexes when I create a new RT profile. A Save Tab option would be nice on the Tab menu and less programming needed than on the Template drop down menu.

And there I was thinking it was something I'd done wrong when they go AWOL or I can't find them because I changed profiles :-(
Definitely needs improvement
