When you see that error 3049, it usually means that your profile has reached its database filesize maximum of 2GB. When that error occurs, prior to closing OT, look in your OT2020/Profiles folder to verify that that has occurred with your current profile. Microsoft released a change back in April that essentially caused the storing of some files like this to increase more quickly than before. Microsoft has confirmed that it's a bug & will be coming out with a fix, but there's no ETA on when that will be. Here are some things you can do...

1. Try to pause the SW run, restart OT, then resume it. You may be able to pause it even after the error occurs. When you close OT normally it should repair the profile so that it no longer is 2GB. Then restart OT & resume your SW run. Additionally, in the event OT crashes you should be able to resume where it left off.

2. Lessen what you’re doing in some way to reduce the analysis processing. This could be done by things like reducing the number of symbols in the profile, reducing the number of timeframes, reducing the back/forward test period, disabling strategies, or disabling patterns.

3. Reduce the number of permutations that SW is running to something that allows the profile to not reach 2GB in size by using less variables or modifying the variables. For example if one variable is min 1 and max 100 with increment of 1, that is 100 permutations just by itself with no other variables. You could change the increment to say 2 which would cut the permutations in half to 50, or increment 5 resulting in 20. You can also use the new feature - Batch mode.

4. You could try to remove the Windows update that caused this. It was in the KB4549951 update that I know of. Some have been able to remove it & fix the problem. But you also need to disable automatic Windows Updates or it will get reinstalled.
