Don't know if this was ever fixed but it has some thread discussion
From JulesRulesNY some time back re OmniLang program editing:
"Very strange. Same thing on all computers -- For instance, I press "C" and it Compiles. So meaning if I wanna type the word "Close".. Once I hit the letter "C", it compiles all projects..
I press the letter "I" and it skips spaces.. and the letter "O" actually closes the IDE window! Identical on all computers."
My findings and response:
After a good night of sleep and a settled mind, I decided to solve the mystery of the spurious i o p c. Incidentally, I've tried all 26 chars to arrive at the iopc issue.
I had the same problem last year. It gave me angst! See below for a repost:
<< I think I've got it. At least I can create and negate the effect at whim.
It's in the ALT key. Press ALT once and it activates the spurious iopc behavior. To negate the effect, without having to close down the editor or the OT program, press the CTRL and the ALT keys. This should override the
ALT effect.
I suspect, these keys were a convenience for one of the OT developers. I also used to set up my own personal "Command" key shortcuts. >>
