Since watching last weeks Market Pulse dot Live, I have been working with Intrinsic Trend 2.
I really like the module, but I found a limitation in the OLang support.
The Intrinsic Trend Slope has two lines, long and short. The long line is drawn when IT2 senses an uptrend. The short line is drawn when IT2 detects a downtrend.
Unfortunately, there is only one function exposed in OLang - IT_Slope. It only exposes the long line. And it doesn't signal when the long trend ends.
So I created an indicator that determines the direction of the Intrinsic Trend.
The code is pretty simple, but it took me a while to figure out how to determine the IT direction. (I hope it works in all instances, but no guarantees...)
indITDirection.txt is attached. It returns 1 if the IT is up, -1 if the IT is down, and 0 if warming up.
Happy Memorial Day!
Freedom has never been free.
Remember those who died protecting freedom for all races, colors, and creeds around the world.
Remember the hundreds of thousands of Americans who died putting an end to slavery in our country.
Those who were so morally offended they left their families behind and paid the ultimate price
Slavery we inherited from European and African slave traders.
(Yes, black men sold black men into slavery...)
For the record, those brave patriots were (with rare exception) white males,
White males who died to free black men and women from an evil practice that had existed since the earliest days of civilization.
Slavery was not an American invention. Yet America put an end to slavery.
And while I had nothing to do with slavery, or the demise of slavery, I am thankful for those who did.
I am proud to be an American.
God Bless America!
